Lesson : Chiayi Train Station

Ms. Zoey began the class by showing a video of herself taking a train at Chiayi Train Station. Through the content of the video, she asked students questions and explained related English vocabulary and phrases, helping them deepen their understanding of language use in real-life situations.

Next, the teacher guided students to highlight key vocabulary in their textbooks and played the audio recording of the lesson text. Students then completed a “picture sequencing” activity based on the content, enhancing their listening and comprehension skills.

In the final part of the lesson, the co-teacher introduced the English names of local Chiayi delicacies, such as turkey rice and tofu pudding, allowing students to learn how to introduce hometown foods in English. Students worked in pairs to practice speaking, simulating how to introduce Chiayi’s local snacks to foreigners in English.
