2025/11/10 Beiyuan Elementary School - Teacher Glenna

To welcome the upcoming Citywide English Day, this year’s theme—Music—was brought into the classroom with vibrant energy. As the students had just woken up from their nap and were still a bit sleepy, the teacher kicked off the lesson with a lively rock-style rhythm. The whole class clapped, stomped, and tapped together:

Clap clap clap!
Stomp stomp stomp!
Tap tap tap!

The fun warm-up instantly energized the students and brightened the atmosphere.

Next, they learned the English names of common musical instruments and the sounds they make:
piano, violin, drum, trombone, saxophone, guitar.

Once familiar with the instruments, students practiced a two-person dialogue, sharing which instrument they would like to learn:

A: Hi, I'm Lucy. I want to learn to play the piano. How about you?
B: I want to learn the saxophone.

In this relaxed and enjoyable activity, students not only learned new vocabulary but also expressed their ideas naturally in English. Music and English know no boundaries!
