The lesson centered on “Old Things in Chiayi Park,” guiding students to explore the park’s unique features and historical background.
Through a short video, the teacher introduced key landmarks such as the Fukangan Stele, Chen Cheng-po’s artwork, and the Chiayi Historical Relics Museum, allowing students to learn English in an authentic local context.

During the speaking activity, students worked in seven groups, using the whiteboard to write key sentences and practicing their lines before going on stage to share their presentations in English. Each time they stepped onto the stage, they gained more confidence and improved their fluency.

Through this lesson, students not only strengthened their English speaking skills but also deepened their understanding of Chiayi Park’s history and culture—connecting language learning with their own hometown and daily life.
