This lesson focused on the theme of environmental protection, and was divided into three main parts:

1️⃣ Vocabulary teaching
2️⃣ Discussion on environmental issues (using Dingzhuang Community in Chiayi as an example)
3️⃣ Group poster creation

At the beginning of the lesson, the teacher guided students to review vocabulary learned from last week’s Earth Day lesson and introduced additional English words related to environmental protection, such as green, community, environment, organic, eco-pond, and raise. In addition to understanding their meanings, students practiced using the words in example sentences to build practical language skills.

Next, the class discussed the environmental protection efforts and achievements of Dingzhuang Community in Chiayi, including eco-friendly farming practices, reducing pesticide use, recycling kitchen waste, and constructing ecological ponds. Through these local examples, students gained a better understanding of the importance of sustainable living.

In the final activity, students worked in groups to design environmental protection posters. Through creativity and teamwork, they transformed what they had learned into visual messages and advocacy, raising awareness about protecting the Earth.
